ColorOS 15 is said to hit beta testing in late August finally. This comes from an reliable online tipster Digital Chat Station. The OnePlus 12 and Oppo Find X7 series would get this new software first.
While this first beta test will have limited slots, a wider public beta and subsequent full release are foreseen to happen before the year ends. ColorOS 15 is claimed to be a huge update oriented at improving user experience and connectivity.
ColorOS 15 Beta Expected Features:
Several new features are said to be a part of the new, yet-to-be-released OS. According to reports, the new OS would come with a separate control center, redesigned floating windows, a custom lock screen, and GPU interpolation technology.
System animations will be improved in the update, alongside another feature that is similar to Apple’s Live Photos. This captures 1.5 seconds before and after a picture has been taken.
An AirDrop-like feature will also arrive in ColorOS 15 for file transfer between Android and Apple devices. It reportedly only needs an app to be installed on the iOS side.
The update is also coming with Dynamic Island, too, taken from Apple, but enhanced with much more customization and now centralized—it might get combined with the camera module.

For OnePlus, in addition to the OnePlus 11, the update will also hit many other models:

- Ace 2 Pro
- Ace 2
- Ace 2V.
Looking forward, ColorOS 15 will come pre-installed on OPPO Find X8 series, OnePlus 13, and Realme GT7 Pro devices.
