The improved CPU includes an Arm Cortex-X4 core capable of reaching speeds of up to 3.4 GHz, a modest improvement over the previous 3.25GHz. It still supports three performance cores at 2.85GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz.

The Dimensity 9300+ makes substantial breakthroughs in AI processing, utilizing MediaTek’s NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology resulting in up to a 10% performance boost. This is part of MediaTek’s latest generative AI engine, which enables partnerships with AI platforms such as 01.AI Yi-Nano and Alibaba Cloud Owen LLM, among others.

The chipset’s APU 790 AI engine is intended to enable Large Language Models (LLMs) with parameters ranging from 1B to 33B, allowing models with 7 billion parameters to run at more than double the speed of mass-market equivalents.

Mediatek HyperEngine:

MediaTek HyperEngine NOS works with top gaming studios to offload real-time network connectivity quality evaluation, allowing for more effective and energy-efficient Wi-Fi/cellular dual network concurrency in-game.

  • Precise Network Prediction
  • Up to 10% power savings*
  • Up to 25% cellular data savings*
  • Ensures a smooth and stable connection for online gaming
  • Collaboration with Tencent GCloud

Its 5G R16 modem provides up to 7Gbps downlink speeds, which are comparable to those of its predecessor. The chipset is expected to transform smartphone performance, supporting capabilities such as WQHD screens at 180Hz and cameras up to 320MP.
