It’s said to support the very same 6.7-inch AMOLED display as the standard Phone 2a. Color options, too, sound familiar—gray and black finish options—but with supposedly slightly different finishes than its preceder, according to the leak.
The “Plus” in the name comes with a few key upgrades. First, the processor uses the Dimensity 7350, an upgrade from the Dimensity 7200 Pro on the Phone (2a).
Another significant upgrade is the selfie camera, which goes from a 32MP sensor in the standard model to a 50MP sensor in the plus version. Other than that, the Phone 2a Plus will supposedly charge faster at 50W than that of the standard one at 45W.
The changes that set the two apart in the light of the current leak, however, are these. With it being almost similar in design and display, and at least on paper, even the rear camera setup, buyers may need to consider very closely the value proposition and their priorities when deciding between the Phone 2a and the Phone 2a Plus.
A leak suggests that there will probably be two configurations for the Phone: one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and another with 12GB of RAM and the same 256GB of storage. Pricing details aren’t known yet.
