Android 15 Update just got a big step closer to launch! This week, a new update called “Beta 3” came out, which means the development is almost finished and the official release is coming soon.
The new Android version will be a big improvement with many cool features, like a special private space on your phone, a theft protection lock, and easier ways to store and organize apps.

This list is not a formal one in any way. We’ve put it together by examining the software update guidelines and the history of operating system (OS) updates by the company.
Realme offers reasonable software assistance for its smartphones. The latest flagship models, the GT, receive three years of OS updates and four years of security fixes. On the other hand, the older GT models are only updated with two OS versions.
Three OS updates might not seem impressive when compared to competitors such as Samsung and Google, who provide seven years of OS updates. Even Realme’s affiliated brands, OnePlus and Oppo, have begun to offer four OS updates for their flagship devices.
Phones in Realme’s numbered series usually receive two OS updates, whereas the more affordable Narzo and C series models are updated with just one. However, the company has begun to offer two updates for some of the newer Narzo models.
We’ll explore Realme’s average software support further in a later post. For now, let’s focus on Android 15.
Realme 6.0 Update Release Date:
Earlier this year, Google released a couple of preview versions for developers to test the new operating system (OS). Then, they offered several public trial versions (betas) so people could try out the new features. The recent Beta 3 release signifies the final stage of development. During this time, Google is busy fixing any remaining problems and making sure everything runs smoothly before releasing the final version to everyone.
Although there’s no official launch date yet, looking at last year’s schedule for Android 14, we can expect Android 15 to be available around early October.
Want to try the new Android 15 early?
If you have a Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, you can join the Android 15 beta program! This lets you install an early test version of the new operating system. However, keep in mind that these early versions might have bugs and some features might not be ready yet.
The good news is that more Realme phones are expected to join the program soon. Last year, it took about six months for the official release of Android 14 after the beta program started. Hopefully, it’ll be quicker for Android 15!
