Android 15 Features:

1. Private space

Android 15 has added private space dedicated space to store the essential apps under an extra layer of security. This is a hidden place from the recent apps, settings, and all the other applications, making it the safest place to hide your finance or dating apps.

2. App archiving

Android phones already support the archiving of apps such that users can unroll the app and retain their data. This feature used to be available only for apps installed from the Google Play Store. Android 15 introduces this feature by default, and therefore it supports apps installed outside Google Play Store as well.

App archiving, the feature is supposed to be a means of saving storage by archiving apps you no longer want to use for some time. Now reinstalling the app does not require you to sign in again or reconfigure it.

3. Enhanced multitasking

Android 15 enhances multitasking capabilities and does so based on the screen size of your device. In foldables and tablets, for example, it helps you create app pairs so you can access your favorite apps directly from a split-screen mode.

To add an app pair: Open the applications using split-screen mode, tap on the icons at the top, and then Save app pair. You will then be able to view that new shortcut icon for this split-screen app pair on your home screen.

Android 15 has also brought a foldable-specific feature – the ability to continue keeping an application open on the cover screen even after closing the main, or inner, screen without unlocking the device.

Now, you will be able to pin or unpin the taskbar in foldables and tablets to quickly access often-used apps.
