The newest Rs. 175 prepaid recharge pack from Jio comes into its entertainment category and is available for recharging through the company’s official website or via the MyJio app.
With a validity period of 28 days, it bundles 10GB of high-speed data that comes with no daily consumption limit. The plan does not provide any calling benefits and is aimed at act as an add-on to already available packs.

All these subscriptions are valid for a period of 28 days, similar to data benefits. Other than these, Jio has introduced three more packs for entertainment: Rs. 329, Rs. 1029, and Rs. 1049 with a spate of offerings, such as unlimited voice calls, subscriptions to OTT apps, and allowances of daily data.
Another well-thought-out offer by Jio is the Rs 355 Freedom Plan. This is a full-validity plan of 30 days with the benefit of unlimited free calling on any number throughout the country.
Subscribers will get a total of 25GB data without any daily limit restrictions, enabling people to utilize their data at the time they feel most comfortable during the month.
There are also 100 free SMSs daily for the whole duration of validity. The new plans are to provide overall competitive OTT subscriptions and adequate data benefits that cater to a competitive user profile.
Jio has launched these new plans in reaction to the price hikes by private telecom companies that led many of their customers to shift to BSNL. This Rs 175 plan will help win back those customers with an affordable tariff plan, also loaded with additional entertainment benefits.
These various schemes and plans will most likely help Reliance Jio hold on to its customer base and attract newer ones at a time when mobile tariffs are going northwards, and competition in the sector is becoming fierce.
The steps, as taken by Jio above, reflect its aim of staying competitive in the market and juggling the needs of the common customer between keeping pocket-friendly all-in-one mobile plans.
