After the S20 series, Galaxy S-series devices receive 4 years of OS updates. The most recent Galaxy S24 series increases the number of OS updates to a whopping 7.

As for Galaxy Z series devices, all Galaxy Z series devices launched after the fold 2/flip 2 devices are eligible for 4 OS upgrades.

Samsung also offers four years of Android software updates for the Galaxy Tab S8 series and all S-series tablets introduced after the Galaxy Tab S8. Additional Galaxy tablets can receive two or three updates to their operating systems.

Certain Galaxy A and Galaxy F series models are also protected by Samsung’s pledge to provide updates over four generations, although the majority of these models receive only two updates to their Android systems.
